World of Color Review **NO SPOILERS**
On 06/08/10 I was invited to the KOST103.5FM preview party for the new WORLD OF COLOR show at Disney California Adventure.
This show, including the preshow titled Carnival of Colors, lasts about 45 min to an hour. I found that technically speaking the show is fantastic. There are plenty of things to look at, water reaches new heights and the use of color and water is mind blowing. In fact at times there is TOO much going on but well worth the neck craning. The technology Disney has acquired is mind blowing and beautiful.
Story-wise, there isn’t one. It wasn't a cohesive story. The projections and transitions seemed disjointed and at times jumbled together.
All in all, I feel that I need to see it again. Perhaps, stand in different sections (even though there isn't a bad seat to be had) and experience the splash zone. Take my mother and perhaps watch it with a little one.
I would not recommend anyone plan their vacation around it, but if you’re a passholder please do yourself a favor and watch it at least once.
I’ll leave it at that for now… however moar posts on the pre-show and World of Color to follow. They will have spoiler warnings and photos… so avoid the blog after this post for a while…
